What is the process for admitting a parent or relative?
We begin with a gentle introductory conversation — in person or by phone — to understand your loved one's current situation and needs. From there, our care coordinator will arrange a personal visit to Calmridge, followed by an informal care assessment. Once everyone feels comfortable, we work out a move-in timeline that suits your family.
Can family members visit at any time?
Yes — family is always welcome. We have standard visiting hours from 9 am to 8 pm daily, and exceptions can often be arranged for special circumstances. We find that family visits make a meaningful difference to residents' wellbeing, and we actively encourage them.
How are meals handled, and can dietary needs be accommodated?
Our kitchen prepares fresh meals daily, with consideration for medical dietary requirements, cultural preferences, and personal taste. Our care team takes time during the admission process to understand each resident's preferences, and these are reviewed regularly. Special requests are always welcome.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Our fees cover accommodation, meals, daily personal care assistance, medication management, regular health monitoring, access to communal spaces and activities, and family communication updates. Additional services, such as specialist therapy appointments, can be arranged separately.
What happens if a resident's care needs change over time?
We review each resident's care plan regularly and adjust our approach as their needs evolve. If someone moves from the respite program to long-term care, or if their cognitive needs shift, we make those transitions as smoothly and comfortably as possible — with full communication to the family throughout.
Is Calmridge suitable for seniors who speak only Thai?
Absolutely. Our care team includes Thai-speaking staff at all levels, and all daily interactions, meal times, and activities are conducted in both Thai and English as needed. We are rooted in Bangkok, and our community reflects the warmth and culture of this city.
